Anita's Favorite Needles
Anita's Applique Needles
I like the extra length of these Straw or Milliner needles and feel that they give me a
little more needle to work with and better control for my needle-turn appliqué. The #11
is slender and will allow you to take very small stitches. The eye on the #11 is small, but
will accept a needle threader. The #10 is slightly heavier and has an eye which is easy
to thread. I personally like the feel of the #10 and find that I can still make very fine
stitches with this size. Both of these needles are also good choices for hand piecing if
you are so inclined. $2.50 20 per pkg.
Anita's Quilting Betweens
# 11 Betweens for Quilting
This quilting needle is a hybrid of the #10 and the #12
betweens. For most of my quilting life, I have used a #12
which is very short and gives me the tiniest stitch
possible. But for many of my students, the eye is too
small, or they feel that they bend and break them too
often. The #11 is the answer! This needle has the body
and strength of a #10 and an eye that is easy to thread,
but it is as short as the #12, which means that you can still
make tiny stitches. I use them everyday and almost
everyone who has tried them, loves them. $2.50 15 per
pkg.
A note about postage: If postage is calculated too high, we will adjust downward.
Needles will not be sent Priority Mail. Small orders usually ship for $2.00.
